There is an odd phenomenon here in the KC area - a large concentration of Mizzou grads in Johnson County, KS - even though it’s the heart of KU country. It leads to weird things like what I saw yesterday. First a personalized JO license plate that said “MU” and then a second one that said “TIGERS.” I suppose I can understand the desire some folks have for posh suburbs, but I have to ask myself “haven’t these people heard of Lee’s Summit or Platte County?” They can get the same beige McMansion, but for less money and with better schools.
