An autumn afternoon on the Smithville Lake bike and hiking trails is one of KC’s best escapes.

So we survived the wedding, I think. It’s all a blur and I don’t remember much. The honeymoon was a delightful five days of sleep and little else. The cruise ship was quite interesting. We did the cheapest cruise possible and found ourselves in the midst of an interesting mix - half ghetto and half Whiskey Tango. It was like spending a week inside the Raytown Wal-Mart.

Re-entry was eased by a Social Distortion concert upon our return to KC, plus a trip to Columbia and some time biking in the woods up at Smithville Lake. The wedding photographer is still busy airbrushing us into shape, so you’ll have to make do with the honeymoon photos.
