Johnny Cash’s HurtVideo

The video for this Trent Reznor cover has got to be one of the most powerful and haunting music videos ever made. This thing actually brought me to tears, and it is scary because it really has a vibe of saying good-bye. No one wants to think about a time when he isn't with us. The brief shots of June's expression while she is watching him are wrenching. Just as rock producer Rick Rubin was able to coax some amazing masterpieces out of Cash, pop/rock director Mark Romanek did the same with this video.
