Cell phone etiquette
November 6th, 2009A few tips for enjoyable use of your mobile phone. That is, enjoyable for those around you…
1. Select an age-appropriate ring tone. Enough said.
2. Learn how to set your phone to “vibrate” mode so that it doesn’t make noise when you get a call or text message.
3. Learn how to silence a ringing phone. In other words, if your phone starts ringing you should know how to silence the ring without answering the call. On many phones you can do this by hitting one of the volume keys.
4. Know how to turn your phone off. If can’t figure out any of the above, be sure you can just turn the damn thing off.
5. Learn how to remove your battery. If all else fails, make sure you can at least remove the battery and render the freakin’ thing inoperable.
