Overheard

“Card-carrying leftist hippy.”

Last night at Twin City Tavern.  I had no idea that one could get a card for that. I wonder if there are patchouli or VW ownership requirements that must be verified before the issuance of said cards…

   The patchouli thing would be easily verifiable, of course. From YARDS away.

   I can’t speak for the patchouli route, but for VW’s any more it has to be TDI and you must at least express an interest in running it with biodiesel. After that, it’s sort of like turning 55 and the AARP; they don’t stop until they’ve snagged you.

   If you’ve got the an older Eurovan or Vanowagon, they generally grandfather you in.
