Evil Bunnies

I cannot go to the Plaza in the weeks before Easter. It’s the Easter bunny statues. They freak my shit out. The eyes are sinister. They watch my every move. They cast disdainful glances on the tourists and suburbatroids invading their briarpatch of faux-Spanish consumerism. Unlike the cows and teddy bears, these beasts return every year. I cannot use compound sentences when they are present.

Oh the eyes were the worst. I’m so happy to hear the eyes have gone dark.

No kiddin. It was even more disturbing (if that’s possible) when the two satanic eyes would blink out of sequence with one another. Eek!

I know! Lots of people are freaked out by the bunnies. I know it’s a tradition and all, but who likes them? Who would object if they never came back?

    Probably people who like clowns.
